Freckle tattoos are done using a manual tattoo method (also referred to as "stick & poke"). Diluted brown pigment is softly tapped into the skin to create faux freckles. Freckles will fade over time and generally last 1-2 years depending on skin-type, sun exposure, and products used on the face.

Freckles are suitable for all skin types.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FRECKLE SERVICE?

Please arrive with clean, bare skin (no concealer or foundation).

You must have NO sun/tanning bed exposure for 30 days before and for at least 14 days after your procedure.

Do not use products containing Retinol, AHAs or BHAs on or near the areas you would like freckles for at least two weeks before your appointment.

Do not drink alcohol the night before, or day of your appointment.

Do not take aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, ibuprofen or any other blood thinning medications for 48 hours before your appointment.

HOW LONG DO FRECKLES LAST?

Generally freckles will last 1-3 years depending on the clients skin type and skincare routine. Clients with more oily skin or who use products with active ingredients (such as retinol) may find that their freckles fade more quickly.

WILL I NEED A FOLLOW UP/TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT?
Unlike most cosmetic tattoo procedures freckles do not require a follow up. If after your first session you’d like to add more freckles you simply book another appointment!

HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE TO HEAL?
Freckle tattoos take 5-7 days to superficially heal, meaning at this point you can wear makeup and sunscreen on them, however they will continue to heal and soften over the next 2 weeks.

WHAT COLOR DO YOU USE?
I have specific brown pigments I know age well and heal will on various skin tones.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
If you send me inspo photos of the look you are going for I can give you an estimate of how many sessions it will take to achieve that result!

HOW MANY FRECKLES CAN I GET IN A SINGLE SESSION?
As many or as few freckles that you want and we can get done in a 60 minute session. If you’re wanting heavier coverage in one session, you can add an additional 30 minutes to your session at an additional cost.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?

Freckles will appear darker and bolder immediately after the procedure, but will soften and fade as your skin heals in the coming days and weeks. You may also experience slight swelling and redness the day of your procedure; this is normal and typically fades within 24-48 hours.

Beginning the evening of your appointment, use a mild cleanser to gently wash your freckles.

Do this day and night for 5-7 days.

Do not apply any ointments or occlusive products to your freckles for at least 7 days. A thin layer of a gentle moisturizer is fine if needed.

It is important that you blot any sweat or oil from the tattooed area as needed while they heal. Sweat and oil from your skin can cause freckles to heal lighter than desired.

Exfoliating products for acne or anti-aging (such as retinol) will cause freckles to prematurely fade.

Do not apply makeup over your freckles for at least 5-7 days.

If you plan on receiving chemical peels, laser treatments or an MRI in the weeks following your tattoo, please inform your technician or doctor that you have been tattooed as these may cause irritation, burning and discoloration of your tattoo.

After 5-7 days you may begin applying sunscreen to the area to help retain pigment color.

Under 18
Are currently using Accutane (Isotretinoin) or have used Accutane within the last year
Have a freshly tanned/sunburned face
Are on blood thinning medications
Have Rosacea
Have Eczema, Psoriasis or Keratosis Pilaris near the brow area
Are undergoing chemotherapy treatment
Please note: I cannot tattoo over raised moles or Acne/blemishes within the area
